Transforming Substance
into Significance
A K-12 INSTRUCTIONAL WRITING PROGRAM
Develop writers,
not just students with writing skills.
The Writer’s Stylus program helps teachers develop writers —effective communicators who know far more than just how and where to use commas and quotation marks.
The three traits of effective writing instruction characterize the Writer’s Stylus program:
Authenticity
Integration
Teacher Expertise
Is writing like trying to hug an elephant sometimes? Are you prepared to help your students who feel the same?
Register for this 5-day graduate-level course and be prepared for transformation.
Course participants become students. A Day 5 review of written expression created on Day 1 of the course proves transformation is possible; course participants exude confidence, and even surprise. They hoped to become better writing instructors, but they were not prepared for the pleasant surprise of becoming a better writer.
Writing well is critical for all content areas.
The Writer’s Stylus program is an instructional writing program designed for implementation in K-12 classrooms. The 5-day course is appropriate and highly recommended for school leadership and K-12 educators of all content areas within a school.

Now is the time for investing wisely
Invest in what will last. Developing writers—guiding students from having something to communicate, to crafting excellence in communication—requires more than teaching grammar, having students journal, and giving major writing assignments.
Developing writers requires interactive and systematic teaching.
Writer’s Stylus enables teachers to design instruction that develops writers. Give them—both teachers and students—a strong, confident, lasting voice.
